To whet your appetite here is one letter from author and friend, A.J. Jacobs!
Dear Jasper, Zane and Lucas,
I’m going to give you the same advice that former New York state Governor Mario Cuomo once gave to me. I met him very briefly when I was a young man and my grandfather was helping with his campaign. Governor Cuomo told me: “Read everything you can read. Go everywhere you can go. Meet everyone you can meet. Taste everything you can taste. Learn everything you can learn. Experience everything you can experience.
It’s great advice and has served me well. Note: This does NOT apply to drugs. You got that?
In any case, I love you all so very much, and know that you will make the world a better place. You already have. One last thing: I am writing this letter for the Barbara Bush Foundation, of which I’m a huge supporter. I hope this shows that you can be inspired by both Democrats and Republicans, despite what cable TV pundits say.
(All entries, upon the sole discretion of the Barbara Bush Foundation, may be published in full or excerpt form, online or in print/broadcast form via the Barbara Bush Foundation, news organizations or other publications.)
